This blog is my soapbox about parenting and psychology.  I've called it Jumping on the Couch as a play on my love of both clinical psychology and parenting, as sort of an irreverent reference to the couch in Freudian analysis, and my striving to be the kind of parent who pursues joy over stuffy convention.
